1st Batch of Training of Trainers (ToT) for capacity building of Medical Professionals
The JICA assisted “Assam Health System Strengthening Project” has five key components and out of these, one of the components is Training & Capacity Building of Medical professionals. The major goal of this component is to strengthen the Universal Health Coverage in the state by developing the high-quality training and capacity development of targeted health specialists and resources associated with health facilities in specific districts of the state.
Under this component, the 1st batch of three days Training of Trainers (ToT) for Capacity Building of Medical Professionals covering the topics- Patient care and Attitude to patient and improvement of basic training on hospital management was held from 19th to 21st December, 2024 at AAU- International Guest House, ROHIKA, Khanapara. The 1st batch has been conducted only for doctors nominated from the facilities like Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College & Hospital, Barpeta, Mangoldoi Civil hospital and 13 PHCs/CHCs of Darrang district. Total 21 numbers of doctors have participated in the 1st batch of Training of Trainers (ToT). The Three days Training of trainers was inaugurated on 19th November by the secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Medical Education Research Department and concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants by the guest of honor Prof. (Dr.) Anup Kumar Barman, Director of Medical Education on 21st November, 2024.
